Bath services for Northwest Arkansas homes

Twist & Spout does one kind of work: the wet area of your bathroom. Eric and Charis Barker started the company in Springdale in 2021, and the crew has since narrowed to walk-in showers, tub-to-shower conversions, bathtub replacement, walk-in tubs and safe, accessible baths.

That focus is deliberate. They don't do kitchens anymore, and they don't refinish tubs or patch tile showers, because a leaking tile shower has a compromised waterproofing layer that a patch won't fix. Read the full answers to common bath remodeling questions before you book.

The tub nobody uses

Tub-to-shower conversions

The old tub comes out and a walk-in shower goes into the same footprint: a low threshold, grout-free walls, glass, and the seat and bars placed where you actually reach.

Most homeowners choose it because the bathtub hasn't seen regular use in years, and stepping over the wall gets harder every year. The crew checks the wet-area walls and floor for rot as the tub comes out, and the Price Locked Against Rot guarantee means a surprise behind the old tub is repaired at no additional cost.

Blocking goes into the walls for bars and a seat, the base is set level, and the panels are measured, templated and custom cut. Most installs take two to three days in your home.

Walk-in showers

Non-porous Sentrel, Samuel Müeller and Onyx Collection wall systems, custom-sized bases, niches, benches and Fleurco glass. No grout to scrub, nothing for water to find.

Most of what Twist & Spout installs is Sentrel and Samuel Müeller solid surface, with Onyx Collection as another option. Sentrel is made in the USA and carries a lifetime warranty. The panels are non-porous, so there is no grout to scrub and nothing for water to find.

Wall systems and bases are cut to your opening, with built-in seating, shelving, niches and grab bars, and Fleurco sliding or hinged glass doors with Moen fixtures. Custom glass can run longer than the rest of the job, so the consultant tells you that up front.

When you want to keep a tub

Bathtub replacement

Alcove tubs, deep soakers and tub-and-shower combos with a new surround over them, plus slip-resistant floors, bars, seating and storage niches.

Some families want to keep a tub, and that is a fair call. Alcove tubs, deep soaking tubs and tub-and-shower combinations go in with a custom surround and wall system, plus slip-resistant floors, grab bars, seating and built-in storage niches.

Twist & Spout replaces rather than refinishes. If a tub or tile shower is leaking or cracked, the waterproofing is likely compromised, and a new surround is the only fix they can stand behind for life. One reviewer's house was built in the late 1800s and had been through several remodels, and the tub and shower combo still came out right.

Comfort without clinical design

Safe & accessible baths

Low-threshold entries, grab bars on reinforced walls, fold-down seats, handheld wands and wide tempered-glass openings for walkers and wheelchairs.

Their phrase for it is Comfort Without Clinical Design. That means walk-in or low-threshold showers, slip-resistant flooring, handheld and adjustable showerheads, and bench seating or a fold-down seat.

Walls are reinforced where grab bars will land, and wide entryways with tempered safety glass leave room for a walker or wheelchair. Some low-threshold showers can even include a ramp, if you want one.

Walk-in tubs

A tub with a door and a built-in seat for anyone who still wants a bath but can no longer step over a tub wall. We help you decide if a low-threshold shower suits you better.

Walk-in tubs give step-in access, ergonomic seating and leak-resistant construction for people who still want a soak. Whether one beats a low-threshold shower depends on the person, and the consultant will say so plainly.

Every install is backed by the lifetime labor warranty, on top of the manufacturer's own.
