Our story
Eric and Charis Barker's bath remodeling company in Springdale
Ozark Home Pros is now Twist & Spout. The company has changed names a few times, but it has been one long journey with one family at the center of it. It started as Ozark Kitchens, then became Ozark Kitchens and Baths, then Ozark Home Pros, and now Twist & Spout. In Eric's words, "It's been the same journey all along, but the focus evolved, and the name grew with it."
Today that focus is the wet area of your bathroom: walk-in showers, tub-to-shower conversions, bathtub replacement, walk-in tubs and safe, accessible baths. Twist & Spout is not a franchise. Eric and Charis founded it locally, and the shop sits at 4031 Old Wire Rd in Springdale. The kitchens are behind them, and you can see what the crews do now on the full list of bath services.
Husband-and-wife ownership means you deal with people who put their own name on the work. Eric holds a builder license, an electrician license and a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer credential.

Eric and Charis Barker, who started the company in 2021.
Eric's story
From a summer job in Georgia to a bath company in Arkansas
Eric says residential remodeling is "all I've known as a career." Here is how it went, year by year.
Georgia: twenty years of learning the trade
- Age 15
- Eric started in residential construction one summer in central Georgia, working for a contractor from his church. His boss, Mitch, built houses from the footings up, and after two summers the job turned full time. Eric still thanks him for it.
- Age 18
- He took on building his first house. He admits it is nearly impossible to do alone, so he had help, but he was the one making sure it all came together. He then ran his own small crew of church kids putting up houses, which taught him a first, humbling lesson in running a business.
- 2001
- Eric joined a residential remodeling company in Middle Georgia that also held the Re-Bath franchise there. He started as a carpenter. In his words, “the highlight of my day was seeing my future wife Charis (she just didn't know it yet)!” He moved up to lead carpenter, then estimating and sales, then management.
- Over twenty years
- He earned his contractor's license and his electrical license, and became a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer. Building, wiring and design all sit behind the same name on your estimate.
- 2016
- Eric and two partners bought that Georgia company and tripled its revenue. The Re-Bath Franchise of the Year award from those years belongs to that Georgia business and to Eric's background, not to Twist & Spout.
Arkansas: the company you can call today
- End of 2020
- He sold his shares to his partners and the family set out for Arkansas. Moving took from fall 2020 to spring 2021, and by his count it took “three freaking trips.”
- 2021
- Eric and Charis started their Arkansas company, first as Ozark Home Pros. Charis, in case you are wondering, rhymes with Paris, with a K.
- 2026
- The name changed again. Ozark Home Pros is now Twist & Spout, same owners, same Springdale address, same crews, with the focus narrowed to showers and tubs.
All of it is why the crews measure twice and why the guarantees below exist. Eric has watched what a bad order or a careless install costs a family, and he built the process on how a Twist & Spout project runs to avoid it.

The people
Who actually comes to your house
A design consultant visits first. Then a project manager, Cameron, confirms every measurement and selection before anything is ordered. Laura in the office keeps customers posted on the timeline. And the installers, Drew, Stephen and Justin among them, do the work in your home.
These are the names customers mention again and again in their reviews from Northwest Arkansas homeowners: tidy, patient, and good about explaining each day's steps. The installers are Twist & Spout's own in-house crews, vetted, in company shirts, and there when they say they will be.
The shop is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and consultations after hours can be arranged for people who work days.
